Elizabeth MacGregor

Elizabeth MacGregor brings more than two decades of proven skill to litigating construction defect, product liability, and personal injury claims. She tries cases in state and federal courts across Oregon and Washington. Among her clients are insurance companies and their insureds, including businesses, contractors, and individuals. She effectively resolves third-party liability claims that range from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars in dispute. In and out of court, Elizabeth is particularly accomplished in defending all levels of construction defect and workplace injury claims and has first-chaired many trials and arbitrations, including construction defect, product liability and personal injury matters.

Before joining MSM, Elizabeth served as in-house counsel for a national insurer and as outside panel counsel for several other national carriers. These experiences gave Elizabeth heightened insight into what drives the decision-making process of insurance companies and the needs of their claims representatives. She brings a comprehensive understanding of how insurers assess and view risk, and a greater sensitivity to how insurers prefer their cases to be handled.,

Elizabeth began her career practicing at a large civil litigation firm in Chicago, where she gained her initial trial experience working on trial teams involved in high-profile antitrust and class action litigation. Prior to the law, Elizabeth worked as a journalist, a career that allowed her to cultivate and sharpen her ability to remain objective and hone her investigative skills – critical tools she brings to case preparation and defense strategy development.
