Construction Defect

Lori Storts is a persuasive legal writer and effective strategist and litigator, dedicated to fostering positive and trusting client relationships through sound advocacy and effective communication. Her civil litigation experience includes resolving construction defect, medical malpractice, and personal injury claims, contractual disputes, and employment issues. Her background includes settling high-asset dissolution cases, navigating complex parenting and child support issues for families with special needs children, minor guardianship matters, and inter-state and international jurisdictional custody disputes. She also has experience with LLC formation and landlord-tenant issues.

Lori is highly adept at researching and carefully processing complex discovery to better position her client for settlement and case dismissal. Notably, and by way of example, Lori’s in-depth file review uncovered undisclosed, mitigating information that helped settle a $7.1 million special damages case for $250,000, as well as numerous pre-existing injuries claimed as damages that ultimately resolved cases more favorably for her clients. Lori has second-chaired trials, argued countless motion hearings, and has a strong background in expert and fact witness deposition discovery.

Prior to joining the firm, Lori worked as an associate in civil litigation firms based in Seattle, Washington, and served as a legal intern at the Ronald A. Peterson Law Clinic in Seattle, Washington, defending workers against wage theft. She also worked as a technical writer and volunteered for a suicide and domestic violence hotline in Dallas, Texas.
