MacMillan, Scholz & Marks is delighted to announce that Megan Ferris, a trial attorney and shareholder with the firm, has become a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC).
Founded in 1936, the FDCC is an invitation-only organization for U.S. and international civil defense litigators, senior corporate counsel, and insurance claims executives.
FDCC members are leaders in many of the country’s top corporations and insurance companies. The group counts among its membership lawyers who are national coordinating counsel and trial counsel for nearly all national insurance carriers and Fortune 500 companies.
A limit is placed upon the number of lawyers in private practice who can participate. Megan was invited to join the FDCC after being nominated and undergoing a rigorous peer review. To be considered for membership, nominees must be of high professional standing, demonstrate good moral character and devote a substantial amount of their professional time to the defense of civil litigation.
Megan joined MacMillan, Scholz & Marks in 2006, and became a shareholder with the firm in 2014. Her civil litigation practice includes construction defense, insurance defense, and commercial litigation in Oregon and Washington. Megan regularly handles cases involving construction defect, personal injury, employer liability, premises liability, and product liability claims.
